6. GAME WINNING FG VS. OHIO ST
The Gamecocks and Buckeyes met in the Outback Bowl for the second consecutive season in 2002, as Lou Holtz led an eight-win team into Tampa. The rematch would be much closer than the 24-7 score of the previous year.
The first half was all Gamecocks, as they jumped out to a 28-0 lead. But the Buckeyes would storm back after halftime to tie the game at 28-28.
Cue Daniel Weaver’s heroics. With time running out, the Gamecock kicker booted a 42-yard field goal that barely cleared the crossbar, giving South Carolina a 31-28 last-second win.
