9. CONNOR SHAW COMPLETES COMEBACK VS. MIZZOU
Down 17-0 in a 2013 matchup against a fifth-ranked Missouri team, a banged-up Connor Shaw put on the performance of a lifetime to take down the Tigers and end their hopes of a perfect season.
With little going right over the first three quarters, Steve Spurrier turned to his senior signal caller out of desperation, trying to keep the Gamecocks in the SEC title hunt. Shaw, still recovering from a knee injury, would lead South Carolina to 17 consecutive fourth quarter points, sending the game into overtime.
The teams traded scores in the first overtime, with Shaw completing a touchdown pass to Bruce Ellington on fourth down to keep hope alive for the Gamecocks. The game would be decided in the second overtime period, when Tiger kicker Alex Baggett clanked his game-tying field goal attempt off the left upright, giving the Gamecocks a 27-24 win.
