South Carolina Football: Ten Best Individual Performance of the Decade
By Jacob Elsey
4. PHAROH COOPER VS. TENNESSEE (2014)
Pharoh Cooper did a little bit of everything in a 2014 matchup against Tennessee, where he caught 11 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for another score, and threw a 30-yard touchdown pass.
Cooper scored on plays of 5, 11, 12, and 85 yards, to go along with that touchdown pass. The sophomore’s 11 catches tied for a career high and the 233-yard performance is the best in program history, breaking a 10-year record set by Troy Williamson in 2004.
It wouldn’t be enough, however, as the Gamecocks gave up two touchdowns in the final two minutes of regulation, eventually falling 45-42 in overtime.
