South Carolina Football: Ten Best Individual Performance of the Decade

8. STEPHEN GARCIA VS. ALABAMA (2010)
Stephen Garcia was nearly perfect in the Gamecocks’ upset win of defending national champion Alabama in 2010, completing 17-of-20 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns.
The junior showed pinpoint accuracy on a scoring toss to Alshon Jeffery in the corner of the endzone early in the first half. He’d keep it going throughout the game, throwing a perfect fade to Jeffery, again, which the receiver would take 45 yards down the sideline to set up the final Gamecock score. Garcia also picked up a crucial fourth down on that game-clinching drive.
The 201 yards were the seventh-most of Garcia’s career, but his 85% completion percentage was easily his best. It was the program’s first ever win over a top-ranked foe, and the Gamecocks would use the win as a catapult to the SEC title game.
