South Carolina Football: 10 Players that Gamecocks are Glad to See Leave the SEC
By Jacob Elsey
KE’SHAWN VAUGHN
Vaughn has been a 1,000-yard rusher each of the last to years for the Vanderbilt Commodores. He’s now wrapped up his career, and is headed to the NFL after being picked 76th overall by the Tampa Bay Bucs.
In his two contests against the Gamecocks, Vaughn recorded 33 touches for a total of 164 total yards and a touchdown. He’s easily been the most impactful player on the Commodore offense over the past two seasons.
Vaughn actually began his career in the Big 10 with Illinois, but transferred to Vanderbilt following his sophomore season. Despite spending just two years in Nashville, the Tennessee native ranks fifth all-time among Commodore rushers.
South Carolina will be relieved to know that Vaughn won’t get a third opportunity against the Gamecock defense as they look to extend their series winning streak to 12 games.
