South Carolina Football: 10 Players that Gamecocks are Glad to See Leave the SEC
By Jacob Elsey
QUARTNEY DAVIS
Davis decided to forego his final season of eligibility in College Station, entering the 2020 draft as a junior and eventually going undrafted. He was, however, picked up by the Vikings as a free agent, and Will Muschamp and the Carolina defense are glad to see him go.
Davis played just two seasons with the Aggies, but in both appearances versus the Gamecocks, he shined. He was the Aggies’ second-leading receiver when South Carolina visited Kyle Field last year, a 30-6 A&M victory.
He was even more instrumental in the 26-23 win the year prior. In his first matchup with the Gamecocks, the Houston native caught a game-high nine passes to the tune of 127 receiving yards. The output was his highest in an Aggie uniform.
South Carolina fans are happy to see him off to the NFL as they look for their first win in what has become a one-sided series.
