A countdown of the South Carolina football program’s most despised villains.

Every program has a player, team, or coach that it despises, whether it be for on the field performance, off the field comments, or a key moment in time that changed the trajectory of the program as a whole.

South Carolina is no different.  Over its 112 football seasons, the Gamecocks are 579-554-41.  They’ve made 23 bowl appearances, winning nine of those matchups, and have finished in the top 25 a total of 10 times.  There have been conference changes, new and old rivalries, great highs, and somber lows.

However, over that span, there have certainly been some characters that stick out more than others.  People that have irked the nerves of Gamecock Nation throughout the years.  Some are gone, some are still around.
