The South Carolina football team saw some key losses and additions to both the roster and coaching staff.

As Summer workouts begin, let’s look at where the Gamecocks will improve or decline in 2020.  There was a lot of offseason activity in the football program, whether it be new coaching hires, players moving on to the NFL, or the incoming recruiting class.

The offense is expected to look completely different with the hire of coordinator Mike Bobo.  A handful of other additions were made to the coaching staff, both on offense and defense.  A first-round talent is gone across the defensive line, a record-breaking receiver has exhausted his eligibility, and a number of seniors have graduated, now off to test the NFL waters.  Those holes will need to be filled by both returning talent and incoming freshmen.

Of course, there are some familiar faces, too.  Will Muschamp is still at the helm, Ryan Hilinski should be under center, and the majority of last year’s defense remains intact.  Will South Carolina be better or worse in 2020?
