#5. TERRY WILSON, JR.

This was a toss-up between LSU quarterback Myles Brennan and Wilson, but we’ll go with experience here over expectation.  Wilson has played 15 games for the Wildcats, though his 2019 season was cut short just two contests in.

He took over under center as a sophomore, throwing for over 1,800 yards and rushing for another 550, as he led Kentucky to its first 10-win season in over 40 years.  He was the first Wildcat in program history to throw for 1,500 yards and rush for 500 yards in the same season.  He’s completed 67% of his passes, and has accounted for 18 career touchdowns.

The Oklahoma native has had success against the Gamecocks, too, leading the Wildcats to a 24-10 victory in 2018.  If he can get back to full speed following last year’s knee injury, Wilson will be tough to defend when the Gamecocks and Wildcats meet in week four.
