The South Carolina football team faces a tough slate in 2020, and will go head-to-head against some of the nation’s best quarterbacks.  Most are upperclassmen that saw success in the 2019, with a few new transfers being sprinkled in the mix.

Seven of the Gamecocks’ opponents return their starting signal caller from a year ago, while Georgia added the top transfer option on the market in Jamie Newman, who recently graduated from Wake Forest.  The 12-game schedule features 11 teams that could have either a junior or senior at the helm.

Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Wofford are still unsettled at the position, and those battles will persist through the offseason, but of the remaining nine teams on the slate, five will be led by passers that rank among SportingNews’ Top 25 quarterbacks in college football.

Here’s a breakdown of the top five signal callers the Gamecocks will face in 2020.
