Gamecock wide receiver Bryan Edwards was selected in the third round by the Las Vegas Raiders.  The 81st overall pick, he becomes the second South Carolina football player to be chosen in the 2020 NFL Draft, following first round selection Javon Kinlaw.

Edwards left Columbia as the program’s all-time leader in both receptions and receiving yards, totaling 234 catches for 3,045 yards over his four-year career.  The Conway product was a Day 1 starter for the Gamecocks, and a member of Will Muschamp’s very first recruiting class at Carolina.  Edwards started in each of the 38 games that he appeared in the garnet and black.

He now joins a Raiders wide receiving corps that includes Tyrell Williams, Hunter Renfrow, and Nelson Agholor, as well as fellow draftees Henry Ruggs III and Lynn Bowden, Jr.
