OL ERNEST DYE (1993)
Dye was the 18th selection in the ’93 draft after the Cardinals chose him with their second pick of the first round. He would go on to play five seasons in Arizona, with a year in St. Louis sandwiched in between.
Unfortunately, Dye’s career was cut short by a car crash that cost him the use of his right arm. The accident involved two other Cardinal players, and resulted in Dye being ejected from the vehicle.
The offensive lineman played in 50 games over his NFL career, before calling it quits in 1999. He played at both guard and tackle. Outside of his football career, Dye recorded music. Check out his hit “On The Real Side” or this NFL on FOX intro that played prior to a Cardinals game in 1996.
