South Carolina Football Adds 2021 Commitment
By Jacob Elsey
Virginia athlete Bryce Steele committed to the Gamecocks earlier today. Steele, a three-star prospect from Alexandria, will likely play linebacker at the next level.
Ranked by Rivals as the 10th best player in his home state, Steele is a huge get for head coach Will Muschamp. The Gamecocks are in need of talent and quality depth at the linebacker position, and he can be an immediate contributor.
Steele chose South Carolina over finalists North Carolina and Texas. He also garnered offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Michigan, and Duke.
Steele becomes the fifth member of the 2021 class, joining QB Colten Gauthier, WR Sam Reynolds, DB Marcellas Dial, and DT Nick Barrett. The Gamecocks currently hold the 39th best recruiting class in the country.
