Demarko Williams pledged his commitment to Coach Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks this past January.  The defensive back rescinded that commitment late last week.

Demarko Williams has de-committed from the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Williams is rated as a three-star prospect.  247 Sports has ranked the Atlanta native as the 655th best player in the upcoming class, and a Top 60 player in the state of Georgia.  Williams was the first player to join South Carolina’s 2021 class back on January 21, but recent offers from Florida State, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Arkansas have prompted him to re-open his recruitment.

He also holds offers from Maryland, Minnesota, Oregon, Pitt, Tennessee, and Wake Forest.

With the de-commitment, the Gamecocks’ 2021 class is now down to three members.  It consists of QB Colten Gauthier, DB Marcellas Dial, and WR Sam Reynolds, all of whom committed in March.  There has been no timeline announced for Williams’ next commitment decision.
