SELF-QUARANTINE WITH HOOTIE AND THE BLOWFISH

If you need to take a short breather from sports, I’d suggest sitting back with a cold beer and music from former Gamecock rockers Hootie and the Blowfish.

No need to leave the house, you can find live performances from their annual Homegrown Tour that ends in Charleston, SC each year.  Listen to hits “Let Her Cry,” “Time,” “Hold My Hand,” and “Only Wanna Be with You” from their best-selling Cracked Rear View record.  When you’re done with the oldies, check out their newly released Imperfect Circle album, which has a little more of a country feel.

And don’t forget the essentials.  Grab some Hootie & The Blowfish gear and, more importantly, try their Homegrown Ale.  It’s a tasty American Blonde brewed in the Lowcountry of South Carolina.

The band formed while attending the University of South Carolina in the late 80s.  They gained notoriety in the mid 90’s following the release of Cracked Rear View and won numerous awards for the album’s success.  They’re huge supporters of Gamecock sports and can be seen frequently at games and events.  Check out this video of band members celebrating last year’s upset of Georgia while on their latest tour.
