1. The Final Four.

Three words I never thought I would write about South Carolina basketball. I witnessed the buzzer sound against Florida in the Elite Eight in person and I was immediately overcome with emotions. South Carolina has never really been a fan base that has things go right for them. But this team was special. They had a certain magic that could not be stopped, even by teams more experienced or talented.

This Gamecocks team will forever be remembered by the fans and in the South Carolina basketball history books. Their Elite Eight win over Florida and battle against Gonzaga in the Final Four will never be forgotten by those of us that were privileged enough to be a part of this ride. The last game of the season didn’t end the way we wanted, but the second half comeback against Gonzaga epitomizes the attitude this team had all year.

Their fight and never say die attitude made us all proud to be Gamecocks, and for that we thank you.
