Chip Kelly is a longshot for the head coaching job for the Gamecocks but man what a hire it would be. For this to happen the Eagles would have to keep losing and Kelly would have to be fired.

Kelly could bring a much-needed swagger to the Gamecocks program with a nearly unstoppable high-powered offense. Kelly’s players are healthy, fast and strong which is something that is much-needed with our players.

If the Eagles crash and burn this season maybe Chip would come back to College and want to take a shot in the SEC but with the Eagles looking like they are turning things around this scenario seems very unlikely although other than Kirby Smart this would be one of the best hires for the program.
