Steve Spurrier will finish his record 86-49 here at South Carolina with a win percentage of .637. One thing for sure is that South Carolina would not be the program that it is today without Steve Spurrier getting the job in 2005. Spurrier will always be one of the greatest coaches to coach the game and he will be missed. I hate to see a great coach end his career on a sorry note because all I ever wanted was for Spurrier to prove everybody wrong that said he could never win the big one at South Carolina.

We Gamecock fans thank you Coach for all you’ve done for us, bringing in the talent and changing the standards for our program. One thing for sure is that there will never be a better coach than the Head Ball Coach.

We would like to say one thing, Forever to Thee Coach Spurrier.
