South Carolina vs. LSU: 5 Players who need to step up
Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports
Skai Moore
In the first two games of the season for the Gamecocks, it seemed like Skai Moore was on track to breaking defensive records. Against North Carolina Moore got himself two interceptions in the end zone that saved South Carolina from loosing their opening game of the season. In the second game of the season against Kentucky Moore again got himself a interception.
Ever since then Skai has kind of died down and that could be in big part to T.J Gurley changing positions with him which takes away the open field interception opportunity that Gurley took full advantage of in the UCF game.
The Gamecocks need Skai to break through the line of scrimmage to get to Fournette before he makes a huge break out run that he has seems to do on every team LSU has played this year. It also wouldn’t hurt for Moore to pick himself up some more interceptions to give the Gamecocks as many chances as possible to score some points.
Along with Moore breaking through the line of scrimmage is a player who has showed some signs of being a really good ball player for the Gamecocks is freshman defensive end Boosie Whitlow.
