Let Lorenzo Nuñez be Lorenzo Nuñez

Steve Spurrier has a history of getting mad at his quarterbacks for tucking and running the ball instead of passing. Connor Shaw finally got past that with the Head Ball Coach and Spurrier finally just shaped his offense to Shaw’s strengths.

The Gamecocks can have the same kind of success with Nuñez that they had when Shaw was the starter if they just let the kid play to his comfort level. Nuñez showed that he has a strong arm, so if South Carolina just throws some quick screens, dunk passes and the occasional deep ball along with Nuñez running when he sees he has the open field, the Gamecocks could give Mizzou a headache all four quarters.
