  • His first season with the Gamecocks was spent redshirting while he tried to get ready for the strength and the speed of the collegiate level, especially the SEC. During Sport’s second season, he saw action primarily on special teams despite receiving the Most Improved Offensive Lineman award the previous spring.

During the 2013 season, Sport played in 8 out of 13 games and made his first start against Tennessee after Ronald Patrick was injured. Heading into the 2014 season, Sport was expected to stay primarily in a back up role. He wound up taking the starting job after 2 games and kept it for the remaining 11.

Will Sport is a player that has steadily improved over his time at South Carolina. He was given the Everyday Attitude award by the coaches in the spring and will start at right guard against North Carolina.
