South Carolina Gamecocks 2015 Position Preview: Wide Receivers

DJ Neal, Jalen Christian, and Jerad Washington
DJ Neal was a 3-star rated recruit according to the 247Sports Composite. He committed to South Carolina in the class of 2015. He flirted with Tennessee, but the Gamecock coaching staff was able to keep the talented receiver in the fold. Neal also had offers from Auburn, Clemson, Michigan State, and many others. Neal will play this season as a starter on special teams.
Jalen Christian was rated a 4-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite and was ranked the number 12 athlete in the nation. He is also member of the class of 2015. He committed to the Gamecocks over offers from Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and many others. Christian may find playing time at receiver and on special teams this season.
Jerad Washington committed to South Carolina early in the process, but there was some confusion on whether or not his commitment was actually accepted by the coaching staff. Eventually, the confusion cleared, and Washington never considered going anywhere else.
Washington was a 3-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite. He had one other offer from Kentucky. He enrolled early and impressed in Spring showing off some good hands catching the ball. He could get some time at receiver and may play on special teams.
