  • Moody has played in 25 games. In 2013, he was mostly used on special teams. In 2014, Moody finally got his shot at safety. He played in all 13 games and started in 7 of them. He was credited with 37 tackles, 1 interception, and a fumble recovery. This season, Moody will fill the back-up role for Isaiah Johnson which will give him the opportunity to learn the position and gain more experience.

DJ Smith was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2014 according to the 247Sports Composite. He was ranked the number 20 cornerback in the nation. He committed to the Gamecocks over offers from Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, and many others.

Last season, DJ Smith played in 12 games with 1 start playing at both cornerback and safety. He recorded 11 tackles and 1 pass break up for the year. Smith will push Jordan Diggs for playing time, and with a year of experience under his belt, he should be a capable back up.
