TJ Holloman

TJ Holloman is another name Gamecocks are used to hearing. He was a rated a 3-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite in the class of 2012. He was ranked the number 27 inside linebacker in the nation. Holloman committed to South Carolina over offers from Illinois, Louisville, and N.C. State.

Holloman has been a very solid player for the Gamecocks so far. As a redshirt freshman in 2013, he played in all 13 games. He recorded 44 tackles including 5 for a loss and 1 sack. He also intercepted 3 passes which tied him for second on the team. In 2014, played in all 13 games and made 4 starts. He recorded 33 tackles including 2.5 for a loss and 1 sack.

Holloman is no slouch in the classroom either. He is a two-time member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll. He was also awarded the 2013 Harold White GPA Award for the Defense at the 2013 Garnet and Black Spring Game.

This season, Holloman will be manning the MIKE linebacker position to give Skai Moore a rest. During spring practice, he was awarded the co-Everyday Effort award with Gerald Dixon Jr. Holloman has continued to look good in fall practice, but it will be difficult to take away playing time from Moore.
