  • Last season, Allen-Williams found a lot of playing time at linebacker and as an undersized defensive end while Ward searched for something (anything) that could help the defense get better. He played in 12 games and started in 2 of those games. He had 27 tackles on the season, including 2.5 tackles for a loss. Allen-Williams best game came against Florida 2.5 tackles for a loss, 0.5 sacks, and forced a fumble.

This season, Allen-Williams will stick at the linebacker position. He’s able to play the WILL and SAM linebacker position, but is likely to be listed as the number 2 WILL linebacker behind Jonathan Walton. He was given the Everyday Attitude award at the Garnet and Black Spring Game.

The reasoning behind giving Allen Williams was obvious in an interview with Diana Browder-Owens. When asked what his biggest challenge for the upcoming season would be, he responded, “To be the best team player I can be, and to help the team have an outstanding year.”
