Former Gamecock Injured in Practice
Former Gamecock Star Antonio Allen, was injured today late into practice.
New York Jets coach Todd Bowles told the media that the initial reports are that he suffered an Achilles injury. Through three years with the Jets, Allen has got himself 2.5 sacks, a interception for a touchdown and a total of 79 solo tackles.
This comes as a blow for Allen, who in 2014 suffered a broken finger injury and having to leave preseason game against the Giants due to an head injury.

The Word from the Jets is that he could not put any weight on his foot and that he was helped off the field. There is a lot of signs of this potentially being a season ending injury, but hopefully this injury will not be as bad as it seems.
There is no word yet on how severe the injury could be, but hopefully our former Gamecock will be ready to play in the Jets opening game against the Browns, on September 13.
