South Carolina Gamecocks Demetrius Smalls “I love being a part of This Family”

South Carolina Gamecocks Cornerback Demetrius Smalls excited about being at USC, “I love being a part of This Family.” and ” Thankful for every opportunity.”

Demetrius, A sophomore at USC was born in Beaufort, SC Graduating from Bluffton High School in 2013, coached by Ken Cribb… served as a team captain… earned the squad’s Best Receiver Award… turned down a scholarship offer from Army. Born December 20, 1994… is a sport and entertainment management major

What is the Best Thing about being at USC ?

DS:  ” The best thing about USC is the WHOLE environment, the people and the Fans surrounded by it ”

According to Smalls his greatest accomplishments to date, ” Four score athlete in football , basketball , Cross Country, Track an Field for Bluffton High an playing football for the University of South Carolina.”

What is your goals for 2015 ?

DS: ” Winning an SEC & National Championshsip for the Gamecocks as a team effort.”

Who is your inspiration ? Why?

” My Mom inspires me because she is the strongest person I know. She has been through a lot, but still keeps her faith and strength, my support system.”

How would you describe Gamecock Football and your life at USC ? 

DS: ” Its a blast and really a dream come true !!! I enjoy and embrace every moment and oppurtunity that presents itself to me. I love being a part of this family and believe it’s one of the Best decisions I ever made. No Regrets!”

As for “pregame rituals”, this Gamecock stated, “Throw my beats on, listen to music and get War Ready!”

#39 on the field, Smalls loves to take to the court in his spare time, ” Believe it or not , I love to play basketball and video games.”
