More from SEC News

Week 6 of the SEC football season sees every team engaged in conference (and divisional) action. After the first few weeks have been a little helter-skelter in each division, after Saturday we could see things start to shake out a little bit as far as the contenders and pretenders are concerned (a little bit). Without further delay, let’s dive into this week’s action with the usual picks, schedule, odds, and more. Unfortunately we couldn’t get Chris Carey’s picks in time, but we’ll give him a pass this week.

Florida @ Tennessee (-3), noon, SEC Network/WatchSECNetwork.com
The Gators haven’t played a division game yet until now. Can they get off to a 1-0 start in the East after a loss to Alabama a couple of weeks ago, or will the Vols boost their chances with a win at home?

#6 Texas A&M @ #12 Mississippi State (-2), noon, ESPN/WatchESPN.com
Here’s one of two games of the week: Kenny Hill and the Aggies, fresh off that close call against Arkansas, travel to Starkville in an attempt to burst the bubble of the high-flying Bulldogs.
Predictions: Sydney–Texas A&M; Tradd–Mississippi State; Brad–Texas A&M

#3 Alabama (-6) @ #11 Ole Miss, 3:30, CBS/CBSSports.com
The Tide won’t see their playoff hopes come to an end if they fall to the Rebels in Oxford, but Hugh Freeze and his squad could get a huge lift to their resume if they’re able to hold serve at home.
Predictions: Sydney–Bama; Tradd–Ole Miss; Brad–Bama

Vanderbilt @ #13 Georgia (-33.5), 4, SEC Network/WatchSECNetwork.com
The Commodores gave South Carolina a tough game a few weeks back in Nashville. They’ll have their hands full with Todd Gurley and the Bulldogs’ offense this week.

#15 LSU @ #5 Auburn (-7.5), 7, ESPN/WatchESPN.com
Freshman QB Brandon Harris and LSU could jump into the playoff discussion if the’re able to go into Jordan-Hare and knock off an undefeated Auburn squad.
