Here’s the final injury report as we’re just a day away from the big South Carolina vs. Missouri showdown. Who’s hurt and who’s good to go for tomorrow?
For South Carolina, a number of players are questionable: Blake McClain, Donell Stanley, David Johnson and Matrick Belton among them. Cody Waldrop (knee) looks like he’ll sit out the game altogether. The Gamecocks might have Kevin Crosby (foot) available at tight end as he’s been bumped up to probable. Definitely good to go: Brandon Wilds, who had some strong runs in spelling Mike Davis in the Vandy game, and as Davis’ ankle could be a little bit of a concern, the coaches might switch the two of them out throughout the contest tomorrow and could also incorporate Shon Carson and David Williams for a few touches. Also getting the green light: Cedrick Cooper.
Mizzou’s injury list is much shorter: Markus Golden (hamstring) is probablewill play and RB Morgan Steward (hip) should miss the game. Out for sure: WR Darius White (groin), down for the count indefinitely, and OL Anthony Gatti (knee) and WR Levi Copelin (suspended by NCAA for failed drug test), both done for the year.
While the big guns for the Gamecocks look like they’ll be healthy, that injury list is definitely something to watch, but I gather from the sounds of it that Waldrop is close to returning, probably as soon as the Kentucky game next week from what the coaches are saying.
