More from SEC News

Welcome to week five of the SEC football season, where three teams (LSU, Auburn and Ole Miss) lock horns with non-conference foes and eight teams (Vanderbilt at Kentucky, Tennessee at Georgia, Arkansas vs. Texas A&M at Jerry World and Missouri at South Carolina) do battle within the conference. The conference and division battles should really begin to shake out within the next few weeks, and we could be close to seeing an SEC East champion all but decided soon.

Let’s take a look at the weekend’s action, with TV/live stream information as well as our picks for the games.

Last week: Brad 4-2 (34-3); Sydney 4-2 (33-4); Tradd 4-2 (33-4); Chris 4-2 (32-5)
Everyone missed Indiana @ Missouri and Mississippi State @ LSU, which means each of the guys incur two losses to their overall slate.

Vanderbilt @ Kentucky (-17), noon, SEC Network/WatchSECNetwork.com/WatchESPN.com
The Commodores look to shake off a close loss to the Gamecocks last week in Nashville, while the Wildcats are in search of that first SEC East win. Vandy is basically on life support and losing to Kentucky may just be the final nail in the coffin with Georgia and Missouri their next two conference opponents after this.
Predictions: Sydney–Kentucky; Brad–Kentucky; Tradd–Kentucky; Chris–Kentucky

Tennessee @ #12 Georgia (-17), noon, ESPN/WatchESPN.com
The Bulldogs, sitting at 0-1 in conference, can get back to .500 and hop back into the SEC East race by taking care of business against the Vols at home between the hedges. By the way, it’s Tennessee’s first conference game of the year, and what better way for Butch Davis and his troops to kick off the SEC slate by stunning Georgia and handing them a damaging second conference loss.
Predictions: Sydney–Georgia; Brad–Georgia; Tradd–Georgia; Chris–Georgia

Arkansas vs. #6 Texas A&M (-10) (in Arlington, TX), 3:30, CBS/CBSSports.com
What a race the SEC West is shaking out to be. The Hogs and Aggies descend on AT&T Stadium, and if the Aggies win this one, it will be very hard, if not impossible, for Arkansas to keep pace with the teams at the top of the division.
Predictions: Sydney–A&M; Brad–A&M; Tradd–A&M; Chris–A&M

Louisiana Tech @ #5 Auburn (-33), 4:00, SEC Network/WatchSECNetwork.com/WatchESPN.com
This looks like it will be another cakewalk for the Tigers as La. Tech comes into Jordan-Hare with a loss to the FCS’ Northwestern State. But the next three for Auburn won’t be as easy: LSU at home, at Mississippi State and South Carolina at home.
Predictions: Sydney–Auburn; Brad–Auburn; Tradd–Auburn; Chris–Auburn

New Mexico State @ #18 LSU (-43), 7:30, SEC Network/WatchSECNetwork.com/WatchESPN.com
The Tigers will be an angry bunch after dropping a 34-29 decision to a Mississippi State team that looks like it just might have a shot at contending for a division crown. Visiting New Mexico State, whose only wins have come against FCS Cal Poly and upstart Georgia State, will have their hands full in Death Valley.
Predictions: Sydney–LSU; Brad–LSU; Tradd–LSU; Chris–LSU

Memphis @ #10 Ole Miss (-21), 7:30, ESPN3.com
C-USA’s Tigers have been a little bit of a surprise as they gave UCLA a scare a few weeks ago and knocked off a good conference foe in Middle Tennessee. But they face their toughest test of the season so far as they travel to Oxford to take on the Rebels.
Predictions: Sydney–Ole Miss; Brad–Ole Miss; Tradd–Ole Miss; Chris–Ole Miss
