In case you didn’t hear, country music superstar Kenny Chesney will be the celebrity picker of the week as ESPN’s College GameDay sets up shop in Columbia this weekend ahead of South Carolina vs. Missouri. Chesney is a four time CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year, has landed 22 #1 singles on the country charts, and has been a gold-selling artist fourteen times. He also produced the ESPN film, The Believer, a documentary on Steve Spurrier, and will perform on the Horseshoe during GameDay on Saturday. Above all, Chesney is well known for his proclamation that a day on the beach without shoes or a shirt, especially after a six-day workweek, is the best way to relax, making fast food restaurant managers nationwide cringe.
Naturally, Gamecocks fans loved the idea, and took to Twitter to express their appreciation to ESPN for making such a great decision in bringing in an established country star and known college football fan to make the celebrity pick this week.
Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman probably knows more about Columbia than @kennychesney. Dig him up & let him pick on @CollegeGameDay. Too soon?

…sorry. Let’s try again. As I was saying, Gamecocks fans loved the idea, and took to Twitter to express their appreciation to ESPN for making such a great decision in bringing in an established country star and known college football fan to make the celebrity pick this week.
I'm sorry, but this Kenny Chesney crap is getting old. The man is a Tennessee fan. Is this really the best they could come up with? End rant

Kenny Chesney is the Sister Wives of college football fandom.

Um…
Kenny Chesney is the celebrity guest picker for this weekend. I do not have the vocabulary to express what an awful idea that is.

A coupe of people in Nashville recognized me from Twitter. I'm more qualified than Kenny Chesney to be a celebrity picker.

I mean, someone has to like the idea…
OK, never mind.
