In Steve Spurrier’s return to college football, a game against a UCF team that went 0-11 was supposed to be a piece of cake, right? Think again. The Gamecocks did lead 17-3 at the break, but the Golden Knights hung around and cut it to 24-13 with a chance to make it 24-20 with a touchdown–but Central Florida’s Kevin Smith was stopped at the two yard line with four and a half minutes left to seal the South Carolina victory.
