South Carolina simply can’t go into this game with their foot off the gas pedal. They need to establish early that they are the better team, and if they do that, I think that they’ll have no trouble with a Vandy team that simple doesn’t match up to them talent-wise. I’m going with the Gamecocks in a blowout.
Chris Carey: Gamecocks
South Carolina is starting to get into a groove, and although there is a chance for a letdown with playing a Vandy team who appears to be struggling, I think the Gamecocks see this as a chance to solidify showing everyone, including themselves, what they are capable of.
Tradd Jones: Gamecocks
IF Thompson plays like he did last weekend, Carolina will win easily. If he plays with not as much intensity and throw passes longer than 20 yards all night, I think it could allow Vandy to hang around. Either way, I have Carolina winning by 2 touchdowns minimum.
Brad Leitzsey: Gamecocks
If South Carolina can avoid the dreaded big win hangover, then Spurrier’s crew should have no problem. The struggling Vandy offense finally scored their first touchdown last week. A strong run game is key is wearing down the Commodores, so look for heavy doses of Davis/Wilds. This is a great chance for USC to follow up a big win with a strong performance on the road with a revenge minded Mizzou looming next week. South Carolina by 17.
