–Still a series of questionables as of right now, so we will have to see what happens as the team convenes for this week’s practice sessions. Those questionable players include DEs
Blake McClain(foot) and
Devin Washington(hamstring), OLs
Brock Stadnik(knee) and
Donell Stanley(wrist), and TE
Kevin Crosby(foot).
Stadnik was in practice last week
but didn’t play against ECU; however, his return to the practice field would seem to indicate that he’s close.
–A couple of doubtful players are listed for Georgia: WRs Malcolm Mitchell and Justin Scott-Wesley. Scott-Wesley, who wouldn’t have played in Week 1 against Clemson anyway due to a suspension, has been nursing a bad ankle, while Mitchell has been dealing with knee issues ever since tearing his ACL while celebrating a touchdown last year. That’s correct.
–Also gone for the Bulldogs: FB Merritt Hall (concussion), who’s out for the year; and DL Davin Bellamy, benched for the second of two games after a DUI in the offseason.
–I didn’t see Mike Davis in the injury report, so I would assume he’s “full go” in the words of the HBC. Carolina will need him full go in this game, for sure.
