Gamecocks in the NFL: Players Making News

There are quite a few Gamecocks in the NFL, and this week many of those players are making news. Unfortunately, many of those players are going to have to continue to work to find their place in the NFL. Here’s a look at some of them:
Ryan Succop – waived by the Kansas City Chiefs
Akeem Auguste – Looks like he might make the final 53 man roster in Seattle after another CB was cut Did not make the 53-man roster.
Victor Hampton – cut today by the Cincinnati Bengals
Connor Shaw – cut today by the Cleveland Browns, expected to make practice squad
Kelcy Quarles – cut today by the New York Giants, expected to make practice squad
Bruce Ellington – changed his number to #10, looks like he makes the 49ers roster
Antonio Allen – looks to be starting cornerback for New York Jets in season opener after being cut twice in 2012
Jasper Brinkley – appears to have won starting MLB spot for Minnesota Vikings
Travian Robertson – cut by the Atlanta Falcons
T.J. Johnson – made the Cincinnati Bengals 53 man roster
Tori Gurley – cut by the Buffalo Bills
Chaz Sutton – cut last week by Tampa Bay Bucaneers
Ronald Patrick – cut today by Dallas Cowboys
Jimmy Legree – still waiting to hear, but might make the final Arizona roster after a strong preseason. Cut by the Cardinals.
