has a urinary tract infection and will be out of commission indefinitely. The latest word is that
he will miss at least a few more weeks
, putting him back on pace to return around mid-September. Coach Kevin Sumlin called the illness “serious”…Linebacker
Shaan Washington
and could be out out as early as September 13 (Rice) and as late as September 27 (at Arkansas).
South Carolina
The notable injury is Mike Davis, who is probable (ribs) but has vowed to play on Thursday. Also probable: wideout Damiere Byrd (knee) and running back Shon Carson (shoulder)…Questionable: tight end Busta Anderson (triceps), center Cody Waldrop (oblique)…Out indefinitely: o-lineman Mike Matulis (knee sprain), an injury Steve Spurrier called “severe”…RB Jamari Smith is out for the year (broken foot).
