Here’s this morning’s news from around South Carolina Gamecocks nation to get your day up and running. See something that should have been put on the list? Email us. garnet.cocky AT gmail.com.
–Hey, did you hear Mike Davis was missing the game on Thursday? Apparently the running back–check that, the first team All-SEC running back, feels differently.
–The P&C in Charleston’s talking tight ends. “Make no mistake about it. South Carolina has two of the most talented, versatile tight ends in the SEC, if not the country.”
–Another from the P&C: things have changed in the last 14 years in Gamecock country.
–The winningest coach in school history, which is, of course, Steve Spurrier, is having a gigantic poster of his persona placed on the side of WBS. OBC is always watching.
–G&BA: Former Gamecock DeVonte Holloman has had a second neck injury and will retire after less than two years in the NFL.
–Also G&BA: how the Gamecocks can control the SEC West race. Spoiler: it has something to do with beating Auburn.
–And yesterday was a week away from kickoff, so our very own Brad Leitzsey wrote this.
