Baylor vs. Gamecocks set for noon November 18; live on ESPN as part of College Hoops Tip-Off
By Sydney Hunte
We knew that the Baylor Bears and South Carolina Gamecocks were set to play each other on November 18 at Colonial Life Arena.
Now we know the time–and a couple of other details.
First the time: noon. The reason for that early start: ESPN’s annual College Hoops Tip-off Marathon that officially rings in the college basketball season. Today, it was announced that the Worldwide Leader will be televising the game.
The Gamecocks should get a few other TV games, among those being the Charleston Classic and the Brooklyn Hoops event against Iowa State just after the New Year. While it would have been fun to get one of the early slots, Carolina gets a national stage against a Big 12 foe that Frank Martin should know very well from his time at Kansas State.
The Baylor women visit Kentucky to start the marathon November 17 at 7pm on ESPN2, alongside Miami at Florida on the Mothership at the same time. But the highlight will take place the night on November 18, as Michigan State takes on Duke and Kansas plays Kentucky in the fourth annual Champions Classic on ESPN.
