Dylan Thompson attending Manning Passing Academy
The 19th annual Manning Passing Academy takes place in Thibodaux, Louisiana this weekend, where a familiar face will be in attendance.
South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Dylan Thompson will join 43 other college quarterbacks and 1,000 high school players at Nicholls State University to seek guidance from football’s first family.

Archie Manning, the 2nd overall pick in the 1972 NFL Draft, played for Ole Miss for three years and while there won the Walter Camp Award and was selected to the All-American, All-SEC and All-South teams, laying the ground work for football’s royal family. His three sons Peyton, Eli, and the little known Cooper Manning combine for three Super Bowl Championships and have proudly produced strong college careers at Tennessee (Peyton) and Ole Miss (Eli and Cooper). The Manning men bring 38 years of combined of NFL experience to the camp.
Thompson will pick the minds of proven NFL winners and receive guidance from football royalty before he heads to SEC Media Days next week. He will join an elite cast of accomplished college quarterbacks when he laces up and runs onto the field this weekend, including last year’s Heisman Trophy winner and current Florida State QB, Jameis Winston, and Oregon’s Marcus Mariota.
Thompson is one of four SEC signal callers that will be traveling to the bayou. Florida’s Jeff Driskel, Bo Wallace of Ole Miss, and Mississippi State’s junior QB Dak Prescott all will be in attendance.
