South Carolina football recruiting: Ga. TE Connor Redmond verbals
By Sydney Hunte
After a pair of verbals on Monday, the South Carolina Gamecocks weren’t done.
First, it was three-star cornerback Jaire Alexander from Charlotte (NC) Rocky River. Then, it was Clinch County (Ga.) four-star athlete Octavis Johnson.
How about a third?
Number three is Lawrenceville (Ga.) tight end Connor Redmond, the nineteenth recruit to pledge to the South Carolina Gamecocks out of the class of 2015.
Wes Mitchell reports that it was Boston College, Kansas State, and Louisville among others that were vying for the 6’4″, 220-pounder, but in the end, he decided to play his ball in the South–specifically the SEC. With Redmond’s addition, the Gamecocks hold steady at #4 on Rivals.com’s list of 2015’s top recruiting classes.
At the rate the Gamecocks are going, we’re confident that there’s more to come this week. But today, at least, they’ve kept bloggers and recruiting analysts around the South and beyond pretty busy today. Stay with G&C as we’ll try our best to keep up with all the recruiting news as it comes in.
