Our countdown to the 2014 college football season continues as just 78 days separate us from kickoff between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Texas A&M Aggies at Williams-Brice Stadium on August 28.
Who Wears #78?
That would be Cody Gibson, listed on the roster as a backup right offensive tackle. At 6’7″ and 288 pounds, this redshirt senior enters the 2014 season with 27 games experience, among those 6 as a starter.
Last year, Gibson sprained his right knee in fall camp, but after a few missed games to heal, he was able to play in the last ten games of the season. He underwent minor knee surgery this spring causing him to miss most of the spring practices, but by all accounts he seems to be back in playing form and looking forward to the 2014 season.
