Georgia/South Carolina game on September 13 to air on CBS

The Georgia Bulldogs are coming to pay a visit to the South Carolina Gamecocks on September 13. It looks like Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Allie LaForce are headed down this way as well.

The Gamecocks’ tilt against the Georgia Bulldogs that day will be aired nationwide on CBS and will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time, the first game of the year for the network’s annual SEC package.

It’s the Gamecocks’ second confirmed TV game of the season–the season opener against the Texas A&M Aggies (August 28 at 6 p.m.) will be the first live game shown on the new SEC Network. There’s also a chance, of course, that a few more contests will be picked up nationally down the line throughout the year.

The Eye Network didn’t come to town last year, but the ESPN family of networks aired a number of contests across ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 in 2013. Hopefully this contest ends up better than last year’s game against the Dawgs, who beat Carolina 41-30 in Athens on September 7.
