SEC Baseball Tournament: South Carolina vs. Florida Gators preview, start time, TV/live stream info and more
By Sydney Hunte
Well, the South Carolina Gamecocks’ game against Mississippi State at the SEC Baseball Tournament last night didn’t go exactly as planned (12-0 loss in 7) so we won’t talk about that. Instead, let’s look to today–as the Gamecocks look to stay alive with a win over the top-seeded Florida Gators.
Jack Wynkoop (7-4, 2.80) gets the call for South Carolina in today’s do-or-die tilt, while the Gators are thought to start either Bobby Poyner (4-3, 3.78) or A.J. Puk (5-2, 3.22). The Gamecocks certainly can’t take comfort in the fact that Florida took two of three from them during the regular season, so they’ll need to set that fact aside–as well as last night’s showing–and simply play to survive and advance.
