It’s do or die for the South Carolina Gamecocks softball team.

Fresh off a 6-0 loss to South Florida in the first game of the NCAA Tournament’s Tallahassee regional, the ladies shift their attention to the second day and the elimination bracket. Up first: Fordham at 2:30, with the winner taking on the winner of the Florida State/South Florida noon matchup and the loser headed home.

Offense was hard to come by for the Gamecocks yesterday–and then some. Bulls pitchers Sara Nevins and Erica Nunn combined to throw a three-hit shutout to advance in the winner’s bracket and a date with the host Seminoles. Kristen Struett had two of them while Dana Hathorn had the other.
