By Sydney Hunte
Steve Spurrier’s 2015 South Carolina recruiting class just keeps getting better.
Four-star Damascus (Md.) ATH Jalen Christian made his college decision today, and it’s the South Carolina Gamecocks that will gain his services next year.
The Gamecocks are getting a player that is 18th in the country among listed athletes on Rivals.com’s national player rankings, but has been primarily been slotted as a possible wide receiver in college. With four-star Georgia WR Dexter Neal in the mix, along with QB Lorenzo Nunez coming in as well, not only will the Gamecocks have a possible quarterback of the future, they will have a talented core of targets for Nunez to throw to.
Christian is the tenth commitment from the high school class of 2015 and their fifth four-star get. Five-star Bluffton (SC) DB Shameik Blackshear, the second-ranked player at his position according to Rivals.com, continues to be the crown jewel of the class as Spurrier continues to beef up his top-five recruiting class.
