Cock-A-Doodle Clicks is back to get your day started, leading off with some South Carolina Gamecocks football recruiting news–plus some other links and notes to start off your day. Here we go:
Durant doesn’t commit after all; three-star ’15 Va. RB’s visit to USC “amazing”
It looked as if the Gamecocks would get a commitment from JUCO linebacker Da’von Durant–he said as much last week. Turns out, it didn’t happen, according to Phil Kornblut, as Durant met with LB coach Kirk Botkin:
“(The meeting) went well, it went real well,” Durant said. “We talked about the defense they are running, school, academics, a little bit of everything. I didn’t commit. I’m going to wait and get out and visit and see what’s out there and make a decision then. Ain’t nothing going to change as far as right now.”
Other tidbits include A.J. Turner’s recent unofficial to USC, which he called “amazing”. The Gamecocks were his first offer; Clemson, Virginia Tech and Pitt are others. Also, another LB is on Botkin’s radar.
