Good morning South Carolina Gamecocks fans! It’s my second day (first full day) on the job as the new editor of Garnet and Cocky, and my goal is to build the best source for Gamecocks news, analysis and opinion on the Web. Along with that, you’ll see some brand new features that may not have been here before in the site’s previous incarnation. One of those new features is called Cock-A-Doodle Clicks, where we scan the Web for all the Gamecocks news and notes and look at what will be news today. Here we go.

–Last night belonged to Grayson Greiner, who walked off for the second time in less than a week as the #1 Gamecocks topped pesky App State, 2-1. It has gotten to the point that our new friends at Garnet and Black Attack have declared #AllGreysonGreinerEverything. Meanwhile, check out our recap here, as well as The State‘s coverage at GoGamecocks.com…

–Today, though, belongs to Jadeveon Clowney as it’s pro day for the gridiron Gamecocks–naturally, the entire nation is watching. Yahoo! Sports looks at how Houston Texans coach Bill O’Brien might use him if they draft him, while telling HoustonTexans.com during a town hall event that the DE is a “unique talent“. Meanwhile, NFL.com’s Kim Jones profiles his journey thus far. But Clowney won’t be the only guy out there, not by a long shot. (More from the Post and Courier out of Charleston, as well as the Charlotte Observer, just up the road from Clowney’s home town of Rock Hill.)

–Spring practice continued, and here’s the writeup from GamecocksOnline.com and The State, along with video highlights from GamecockCentral ($$) as well as a piece on SS Chris Moody (also $$).

Other scores: Softball (24-12) took a pair of games via run rule, topping Charleston Southern 9-1 in six before an 8-0 five-inning win over Presbyterian. Next up: a trip to Georgia this weekend to start SEC play again.
