The South Carolina Gamecocks look to keep rolling as the App State Mountaineers come to Carolina Stadium for a midweek affair (7pm). No fooling–the Mountaineers have come close to slaying a few giants this year, but they’ll face their toughest challenge of the season in the top team in the land.

Who’s Hot for the Gamecocks
Grayson Greiner has recorded seven RBI in his last two games, including a walk-off grand slam on Saturday. Joey Pankake is currently in the midst of a 15-game hitting streak.
Last time out
The Gamecocks put together a weekend sweep of Tennessee at Carolina Stadium as they outscored the Vols 20-8 over the three contests. The Mountaineers took two from UNC Greensboro by scores of 4-2 and 15-4 Friday and Saturday before weather washed out Sunday’s contest.
Who to watch for on App State
There’s a little bit of a drop off from leading hitter Matt Brill to the rest of the App State lineup. Brill is currently hitting .344, but has only recorded three RBI–the Mountaineers are led by Dillon Dobson, Michael Pierson and Jaylin Davis (12 RBI each) in that department. Dobson and Pierson are knotted for the team’s home run lead (three each).
