Recently, Marcus Lattimore has been a busy man.  Since being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in this year’s NFL Draft, Marcus Lattimore has been out to prove to the world that his knee will not be a hindrance to his NFL production.  In the past few weeks, Lattimore has been making several stops throughout the state of South Carolina in an effort to meet his fans and share a brief moment with them before he takes his talents to the west coast and begins his tenure with the 49ers.

While on his most recent visit to South Carolina, Lattimore had Columbia at the top of his places to visit.  After becoming the Gamecock’s all time leader in rushing touchdowns as well as touchdowns all together, the Lattimore legacy was solidified as something special to Gamecocks fans everywhere and to the city of Columbia.  This week, Lattimore was seen on campus talking with prospective students as they passed through the historic horseshoe and he even took some time out of his schedule to record his next Under Armour commercial.

In the commercial, Lattimore is seen doing various drills in Williams-Brice Stadium.  Lattimore shows that his knee is progressing in his latest shoot for Under Armour as he runs that stadium steps, participates in field drills, and does some running.  Not only are 49er fans happy to see Lattimore’s progress as he is more than likely their future leader in the running game, but also Gamecock fans are especially pleased to see a young man who gave so much of himself to the Gamecocks and South Carolina fan’s everywhere.  Lattimore can even be heard uttering the words “What knee surgery?,” in his latest commercial spot.

Garnet and Cocky will continue to keep you updated on the progress of Marcus Lattimore and other Gamecock alumni throughout the year and for seasons to come.
