(Not) Holding in the SEC

I’m going to keep this post short and simple.

One reason; The refs did not decide this game.

Another reason, there’s not much to talk about here.

South Carolina nor LSU was called for holding in Carolina’s 23-21 loss to the Tigers Saturday night.

That means  LSU was the fifth straight SEC opponent not to be called for holding against the Gamecocks. It also means that since the start of last year, Carolina’s SEC opponents have been called for just three holding penalties. Only one of those penalties came when the Gamecocks were on defense (the other two were special teams).

This is, quite frankly, an amazing stat, and only Garnet and Cocky is keeping track of it.
